Introducing the H715 ReferenceNew!
Industry
Berlin, Germany (October 22, 2026) – ADAM Audio today introduced the H715 Reference, its new flagship open-back headphone designed to deliver a monitoring experience comparable to high-end full-range loudspeaker systems.
Launching at Amsterdam Dance Event, the H715 Reference features custom-designed 150 Ω titanium-plated PEN drivers housed within a woven steel mesh enclosure. The transducer assembly is complemented by ultra-strong neodymium magnets, a meticulously tuned suspension system, and a patent-pending ventilation design.
Together, these elements deliver exceptional bass extension, smooth high-frequency reproduction, and vivid transient response, resulting in a highly neutral sonic presentation ideally suited to mixing and mastering applications.
Engineered for Comfort and Durability
Constructed with metal components throughout, the H715 Reference combines durability with a lightweight and ergonomic design. Key features include a breathable steel grille, dual-sided connectivity, magnetically detachable earpads, and premium memory foam cushioning.
The headband’s clamping force has been carefully optimized through the use of spring steel, while rotatable earcups adapt naturally to the shape of the listener’s head to distribute pressure evenly around the ear. In addition, the headband padding incorporates a central cutout that relieves pressure on the sensitive crown area.
Expanded Sonnox Software Integration
The H715 Reference is further enhanced by a suite of tailor-made software tools developed in collaboration with Sonnox. Originally introduced alongside the closed-back H200, the Headphone Utility Plug-In has been expanded to include a range of H715-specific calibration profiles as well as user-adjustable crossfeed functionality.
The H715 Reference also includes ListenHub, an advanced audio analysis, comparison, and virtual monitoring platform designed to support more informed mixing decisions. Available as a standalone macOS application, ListenHub can host plug-ins such as the Headphone Utility, allowing H715 Reference users to benefit from system-wide, source-independent calibration.
Dedicated Hi-Fi Listening Mode
For audiophile listening applications, the H715 Reference can be connected directly to the balanced headphone outputs of premium Hi-Fi equipment using the included 3-metre cable with a 4.4 mm Pentaconn connector.
A dedicated Hi-Fi mode can be activated via a small switch on the headphone that separates the common ground connection. The mode can be quickly deactivated when returning to studio workflows, allowing seamless switching between critical production and leisure listening.
Premium Accessories and Travel-Ready Design
The H715 Reference can lie completely flat for transport and is supplied in a premium hardshell travel case. The case includes dedicated compartments for the 1.3 m coiled studio cable, 3 m Hi-Fi cable, and the magnetically attachable soft-cloth and faux-leather earpads.
